Our nursery offers high quality early education for children aged three and four. As a school-run provision, we follow the national guidance on early years funding and accept government funded places for all eligible children.
Government funded hours
All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 funded hours of early education each week during term time. Some working families may be eligible for an extended entitlement of 30 funded hours.
Parents do not need to apply for the 15 hour entitlement, although you will be asked to provide information to confirm your child’s eligibility. Families wishing to claim the extended 30 hour offer must apply for a valid code through the Government’s Childcare Choices website and renew this code when prompted.
Funded hours can be used for the sessions listed below.
Nursery sessions
We offer flexible session patterns that allow parents to use their funded hours in a way that supports family routines and prepares children well for school.
Morning sessions
8.40am to 11.30am
Afternoon sessions
12.30pm to 3.15pm
Full day options
• Monday and Tuesday full days with Wednesday morning
or
• Wednesday afternoon with Thursday and Friday full days
All options are subject to availability. Each session can accommodate up to 26 children.
Attendance and routines
We encourage families to select a consistent pattern of attendance that supports children’s development and helps them settle into nursery life. Once a child has been offered a place, we will confirm the agreed sessions and explain any additional charges that apply.
If you would like to discuss funding or the best session pattern for your child, please contact the school office.
