Attendance

We recognise the clear link between high levels of attendance and strong outcomes for children.

Regular attendance supports academic progress, personal development and readiness for the transition to secondary education. We are committed to providing a welcoming, supportive environment where every child feels valued and is able to access the full breadth of learning on offer.

Parents and carers play a vital role in supporting good attendance, working in partnership with the school to ensure children attend punctually every day unless absence is unavoidable. Being in school consistently helps children to build secure routines, develop friendships and engage fully with learning.

We actively promote the importance of excellent attendance and aim for all children to achieve the highest possible attendance so they can thrive both in school and beyond.

We run a weekly prize draw for every child who achieves being on time and being in school. This is drawn at Friday’s celebration assembly, along with the winning class of the week and if the whole class have 100%, every child wins a prize.
